Renate Rossol is building community through her musical leadership in Winnipeg, and abroad, as a music director, pianist, vocal coach, adjudicator, and piano instructor. Renate has worked professionally as a church musician for over fifteen years, serving as music director at Prairie Spirit United Church, Sturgeon Creek United Church, and St. Mary’s Cathedral (interim). She holds a Master of Music (Collaborative Piano Performance) and Bachelor of Music (Solo Piano Performance and Music History) from the University of Manitoba, and an A.R.C.T. in Piano Performance. She also studied at the Vienna Conservatory in the discipline of Vocal Accompaniment. Joining us in January 2023 Renate is called to Messiah Lutheran to nurture the musical talents of the congregation, and develop a new and exciting musical program which enables everyone to share God’s love and grace through their gifts. When she is not busy with her musical obligations, Renate loves to attend hot yoga classes, travel to new places, and connect with others over a cup of coffee.
