Thinking of joining us for the first time?
What you can expect when you visit us for worship in our building.

What is it like? We gather for worship at 11AM on Sunday morning (10AM in summer months). You can expect there to be music, congregational responses, hymn singing, as well as a scripture, prayers, a sermon (a message about where we see God, and what God is up to relating to the scripture we hear and our life and world), and Holy Communion, most Sundays. Worship is led by our Interim Pastor, Rev. Elaine Sauer, some weeks, and other weeks leadership is provided by clergy from withim the congregation or MNO Synod. Our Assisting Ministers occasionally lead a Service of the Word (without Communion).

What about children? Children are encouraged to attend worship! We anticipate that children will be children - they will make noise, move around, eat snacks, explore and might sit with a number of different people throughout worship. We also have crayons and colouring pages at the back of the sanctuary, and there is a near by nursery room (unsupervised) in the Fellowship Hall if you need a break.

What do I wear? Clothes you are comfortable wearing!

How do I get there? We have ample parking in the lot adjacent the church, including designated accessible parking, as welll as additional street parking. Winnipeg Transit is not regularly scheduled to travel into our Westwood neighbourhood on Sundays. There are two options if you are coming by bus - book a transfer through Transit On-Request or walk south to the church on Rouge Road from Portage Avenue (it's a 5-10 minute walk).

How can I get connected? There are many ways to get connected with our community, including speaking with our Interim Pastor, or any one of our members. You can also contact the church office. Or use the "Contact Us" form to send us a message.

How do I give? In weekly worship, we collect an offering - these funds support our ministry including our staff salaries, programs, building upkeep, and support of our wider church and community outreach. You can give through in person by cheque, through our Pre-Authorized Remittance (PAR) program, by eTransfer (messiahdonations@mymts.net - please include name and address in the memo line to receive a tax receipt for gifts over $10) or online at www.canadahelps.org (tax receipts will be emailed to you from Canada Helps).

We continue to be mindful of our collective responsibility to protect one another and taking steps to prevent spreading illness and infection. We all can do our part with hand washing, staying home when sick, vaccinations, and respecting the need of some to mask.
